I've completed my Pathfinder achievement and tomorrow is the big day!
Flying arrives in Draenor!
I know lots of people are really excited about this so I decided to think long and hard about all the ways that flying would improve my play in Draenor...
1. My alts won't have that ridiculous journey down to the shipyard and back to do their missions.
2. I won't need a summon for Kazzak.
Er... what's all the fuss about again?
i cant bloody wait to get flying tomorrow...going to make it so much easier to level my army of alts :)
ReplyDeleteBut will it really?
DeleteThe levelling flow is almost perfectly designed,
I can't think of more than a couple of times that I wished I could fly while levelling... except finding that bloody bird, Kil'uun, in Talador
And, to be honest, I think I am done with levelling for this expansion anyway so it won't really affect me.
With all your alts though, I suppose you want anything that can make it easier!
I love my flying!
ReplyDeleteI know, lots of people do, but why?
DeleteJust so you can get to all the pet battles in Tanaan a little but quicker?
I think it's different as a druid. Since flying is one of my forms I used to love jumping and then hit instant flight form. Or leap off a edge and be plummeting until I hit flight form at the last minute. You might understand a bit as you can shift to ghost wolf - one of my forms was suddenly gone and I missed it. I felt like I was eternally inside a building or in a battleground. I know I didn't always have flying (only since wotlk) but it was part of my character. And I only have one.
DeleteThis is a fantastic reason to love flying!
DeleteI completely understand reasons like this, makes perfect sense.
It shows how flying can add something to the game or your enjoyment of it.
What I see from most people is how they can use flying to skip parts of the game, to avoid things or to improve their efficiency... as if the game itself it's such a chore that they want to play it as little as possible to get their rewards
